The Bon Voyage Nerfs, Part 2
« on: May 28, 2009, 12:48:47 AM »
I like autonomous behavioir.  Those little things that sims do with they are bored are part of the thing that makes the game for me.  The BV gestures, sea chanty, and tai chi fall into that category.  In addition to personality based, these should happen a less frequently if at all on community lots.  I left them pretty much alone for home lots.

Hey, it's me again! (I'm sure you're thrilled....)

10 minutes ago I re-downloaded the BV Nerf sets (1 & 2) to make sure I got the right versions, but when I have the Gesture Nerf (zah_bvGestureNerf) mod installed, I get the attached (re-occurring) error. It has something to do with the "Will I Do" test for the Hang Loose gesture.

Error stops when mod is removed. I tried playing with load order with it & InTeen (thinking that was what the "z" was for) but no dice.

If it matters, this is a test hood made w/empty templates (so no current tourist or vacation locals), with a fresh CAS couple who have just been placed on an (almost) empty lot, so they know none of the BV gestures/peeps.

One of my notes is to look at all of the BV nerfs.  In fact I don't have any of them in my game.  I can't remember now if it was because they were giving me problems and I wrote that note or what.  Looking at that error, there is definitely a problem now.  I'll look into it.

Ok.

Actually the only one giving me any grief (so far) was the Gesture one.

The others haven't been a problem yet- though HCDU shows them all as "conflicting" with each other in the "Will I Do" test. I figured that was normal, as they are supposed to change what a Sim does after all.

That Will I Do behavior is a clone of itself in each of the hacks.  Yes it "conflicts", but it's all the same.
