News - When I Remember
« on: May 25, 2009, 12:01:25 AM »
Welcome to the brand new site!

After a lot of thought, I switched to Simple Machines Forum from phpBBS.  The basic driving force behind it is the forums I visit most use it and as a user, I liked it better than phpBBS.  With the change, I've changed the layout a bit.

The Sims Franchise.

Rather than having a section for Castaway Stories that never really got off the ground (so much for my plan to have a CS only site that I didn't even support...), I've created one section for The Sims Franchise containing boards for discussion the game and help for the game.  "The game" could be The Sims, The Sims 2, The Sims <fill in the blank> Stories, or even The Sims 3.  Maybe even a little Sims City 4 as it pertains to creating custom terrain.  Or tools, utilities, programs, etc, used for helping you with the game.  You know, GIMP, Photoshop, HCDU.  To quote Chester, "Blah, blah, blah."

Downloads.
All of my downloads reorganized a bit.  CIF is still there, but Personality Driven Behavior (PDB) has expanded to include more of my mods.  And then the generic Miscellaneous section that includes everything that doesn't fit in CIF or PDB.  I've included a new section for any of your creations of what ever type you would like to share.  Feel free to use it.

That's all for now.

Please register again.

I took a look at the usernames from the phpBBS site and over 80% of them were spambot creations.  Rather than weed through those to find the good users, I elected to wipe the user database.  I'm hoping the new registration will keep them out.

I've been busy stirring up some new magic for the new Witchcraft section.

In addition to my mod making the witches clothes suitable for formal and outdoor wear, autonomous versions of the cauldron and spellbook are available.  You can find another version of Individual Aging there also.  With this one, witches age once a week, increasing their lifespan sevenfold.

It's been a while since I've remembered to post here.  Unfortunately, the news is not so good this time.  A recent computer crash has left TS2 and the couple things I've been working on unavailable for the time being.  The drive in question is I believe still intact, I just can't get my computer to see it.

Once I do get access to it again, I'll be completing testing of a new version of NPC Aging that is compatible with Chris Hatch's Hospital mods and verify compatibility with Inteen (I think it is, just need to test it a bit more).
